I graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tartu and am currently also completing my master’s degree in business administration there.
I have been working in the financial sector since 1997. My first job was working as a teller in Hansapank (now Swedbank), where I spent five years, eventually becoming a branch manager. I then worked as an account manager for KredEx (2002-2005), where I was responsible for the assessment of company business plans and finance projects.
In my time as a credit analyst with DnB Nord Bank (2005-2007) I was lucky enough to be involved in building up the Estonian subsidiary of one of Scandinavia’s biggest banks, dealing with financing of existing and start-up companies and structuring financial transactions.
The logical next step for me was to found I&N Finantsteenused OÜ (2007), a company offering financial consultation and accounting services which I sold in 2009.
A major personal challenge was taking up the position of Chief Financial Officer at Colemont Kindlustusmaakler (2007-2009) and developing the principles of the everyday financial operations of the company’s Estonian subsidiary.
